I ordered the large Italian sub. It was loaded with meat, cheese, shredded lettuce, and just the right hit of oil and vinegar. The roll was soft and fresh, holding everything together without falling apart. It hit all the right notes. One of my friends had the small turkey, and even that came out with serious weight to it. They don’t skimp.

Prices are on the higher side, but it makes sense. You’re at the beach, the food is fresh, and the portions are solid. Staff was friendly and fast. Everyone working there looked like they’d been doing this forever and still enjoyed it.

My visit to Surfs Up Pizza in Bethany Beach turned out to be shockingly unpleasant. While the food was mediocre at best, what truly soured the experience was the behavior of the manager. In the middle of our meal, the manager began yelling and cursing at a group of customers to leave immediately, creating a hostile and uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone present. Witnessing such unprofessional conduct was incredibly off-putting and completely unacceptable for a place that should prioritize customer service. It's unfortunate that what could have been a decent meal was overshadowed by such inappropriate behavior. I strongly advise against visiting Surfs Up Pizza until they address their management issues and provide a more respectful environment for their patrons.
