Definitely do not rent from Vacasa. Worst property management company. Checked into a place in Ocean View, DE on Saturday and immediately made them aware of cleaning issues, ants all along first floor, and mold in the bathroom. Called and texted their support multiple times only to be told they are waiting for an update from the "local team." Have yet to get any sort of meaningful response.
Had to go out and purchase our own supplies to help mitigate the ant problem so my toddler children can play. Can't even use the one bathroom because of the mold.
The latest... power outage at 1am this morning. Again, no meaningful response. But now I have food that will go to waste.
Awful service.

I will never rent with a Vacasa managed property again. We showed up to the rental in Bethany Beach DE and were unable to access the house. I called the number, and was told I had to pickup keys at the property management office - this was not conveyed to me prior to arriving (in fact, I was sent a text message with the house address to arrive at), but not a major issue.
What WAS a major issue was the significant amount of black mold across the entire ceiling in the primary bathroom and the clear lack of cleaning (layers of dust on all vents, etc.). I went back to the property management office and learned that a ticket had been placed for this exact reason and they STILL let us check in. When I showed the manager the picture, they were shocked at the extent of the damage... so clearly, someone lied. The wifi also would not work in the house, but as we were vacating immediately do to the home being a health hazard, this was a secondary/trivial issue.
To their credit, they gave me a refund... but did not reimburse the full extent (this could be because we checked in a day late, but the deducted amount seems to be equal to the booking and cleaning fee from AirBnB, so we will contact them as well). I will never stay at a house managed by a company whose own employees lie about blatant mold and cleaning issues. I would advise others to do the same, your health and safety are not worth it.

#1: When we arrived, within 12 hours, the front door lock failed. Vacasa didn't care to come and fix it after several phone/messaging attempts. We put in several "tickets" and couldn't lock the front door all trip. #2: The pots/pans in the kitchen were FILTHY. Since I'm a cook, I spent several hour SCRUBBING pots/pans so they were usable. Again, tried to tell Vacasa with no response. #3: After day 3, the smoke alarms were beeping so we had to deactivate them all but Vacasa didn't care. We lived in the house the rest of the week with no smoke alarms.
How hard is it as a management company to keep up with "management"? Clean the pots and pans (at least check on their condition before new people take possession), and change the batteries in the door locking system and fire alarms on a schedule. We paid $7000 (yes, 7 thousand) for this house. That's enough money to paid to have this house meet minimum standard of cleanliness and safety.
The house was fine, great location, but the management company Vacasa was AWFUL. Steer clear of this one.
