Bethany Beach Ocean Suites Residence Inn by Marriott

A little on the expensive side but worth it for the location and convenience! Having breakfast included was an added bonus which we partook. Highly recommend this! The room we had was spacious and fit our group perfectly. Loved having a fridge and mini kitchen as well. Parking was $40 per night and we could leave our car there the next day for a little bit while we explored the boardwalk. The front desk attendants were friendly and attentive! Definitely recommend if it’s in your budget.

I’m a lifetime Bonvoy and that won’t change even after my stay at this anomaly of a Marriott-branded hotel. Front desk staff on their phones in plain sight with guests all around. Housekeeping only offered every other day unless you ask them to come daily (we did, they still didn’t come). Gorgeous rooms, beautiful views, but it doesn’t make up for the extreme lack of service care and total disinterest by the staff at this place. Lots of pictures I could share but I’ll leave you with one that tells the story. An overflowing garbage in the lobby directly across from the front desk that sat unattended to from afternoon to the following morning, just gross. The general management of this hotel does not take any initiative to capitalize on an otherwise easy win given the location. I had to call 3 times to the front desk to get sheets and blankets for our pullout couch only to walk down to the front desk and ask in person 90 minutes later.

I love you Marriott but this place is a hard no. Do better.

You absolutely cannot beat the location of this hotel. Walkable to everything and great access to the beach. Parking attendant was fantastic upon arrival, very welcoming, friendly, and even acknowledged our Platinum status. The same
cannot be said for the front desk staff- meh, no smiles and not very welcoming. The rooms are standard and have what you need. Beds and pillows are comfy! Cleanliness could’ve been better. LOTS of dogs and the hotel doesn’t have designated floors or rooms for pets (I asked!). The pool is pretty awful - it was cloudy, stuffy, no towels, and it’s indoor (the sliding cover was only cracked). Breakfast staff was friendly. All in all as long as you plan to be on the beach and are aware of these few things you can navigate and have a good stay.
