Bethany Beach Ocean Suites Residence Inn by Marriott

We have stayed here for extended summer trips more than once, and I have to leave a review because the staff is just unmatched. Everyone who works here is so helpful, kind, understanding and patient. The housekeeping staff is outstanding, just the most accommodating and kind team. On top of the perfect beachfront and charming family beach town of Bethany Beach, the hotel’s daily events for kids have become core memories for our kids. Cascading Carlos didn’t just teach our kids how to juggle, he spent three hours with our kids and others teaching them all kinds of skills and was the kindest, most patient, entertaining guy with a true passion for teaching kids how to do his tricks. Another day, there was a Merman at the pool who was rolled in on a luggage trolley who sat in the pool, read them a book about ocean conservation and then talked to and entertained the kids for two hours. They loved it! The staff at breakfast tirelessly works for a deluge of guests. They never stop, constantly bussing tables, restocking silverware, food, coffee, water… They are so hardworking and it’s a tough shift! The front desk has so much thrown at them, but they handle it all with patience and grace. The only area of improvement I have is to ensure each guest has a parking spot in the high season. We did get a spot in the hotel garage after a 30-minute wait upon arrival, but it was the Employee of the Month spot so we had to look around the garage the next morning for a spot to move our car. I could not say enough good things about this hotel. This was our first time going to the beach in DE, and the room we chose was facing ocean front, very spacious with a mini range, kitchen, dish washer and sink. And very clean even the light blue sofa looked very clean with no stains whatsoever. There is a sleeping area, a sitting area and small balcony. The front desk staff was not only helpful, but treated us more like a part of the community. We learnt that since now it was off season (b4 May 15th) thus we could opt to do street parking free. I really appreciate her sharing the info with us.

Also on the second morning, my finger was accidentally cut by shell on the beach. Diane from the front desk was very caring and got the first aid kits and helped me with the wounds. I can't thank her enough for that.

And there was free breakfast with a vast selection, where you could choose a balcony sitting at the restaurant facing the ocean.

I have been to many places, but this one will always stay unique, as the inclusivity, the way how people here greet and treat each other, the tranquility is probably the first time I have felt in a tourist town in US.

This was our third year staying here for the Fourth of July and at least our 7th time staying here overall, it's such a great property with super friendly helpful staff. This trip Lori helped me out a ton pre arrival with some shifting in our reservations and was super helpful, and Connor was on the spot when we arrived early and helped us feel welcome and comfortable settling in prior to our room being ready.
The rooms are amazing I'd recommend the boardwalk studios as they walk right out onto the boardwalk!
Breakfast is included and they have other entertainment and a pool.
Small feedback would be to install more hooks in the room to hang suits and towels but otherwise everything here is always a hit!
